The chapters in this book detail the conversion of a young college student, a non-believer. After an almost Paul-like experience, the Lord Jesus Christ comes to him in his living room and calls him to "come with Me". He refuses the “Call” and tries to resist the Holy Spirit. He eventually submits to the power that is greater than his own strength. His discipleship ministry spans Mexico, several countries in South American including the high Andes Mountains.
The author was raised by parents of modest means who worked in farm fields for a living. He was the first in his family to graduate from high school, then go to college. He leaves everything behind to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He returns home after seven years of evangelistic work in faraway countries. Afterward, he completes the college degree he forsook a long time ago and works in an administrative position for a local school district.
